Airstack, a Web3 development platform, successfully raises more than $7 million

AI-Powered Web3 Development Platform Airstack Secures Over $7M in Pre-seed Funding Extension The funding round was spearheaded by Superscrypt, with Polygon as a previous investor.

Airstack, a platform dedicated to Web3 development, has secured over $7 million in an extended pre-seed funding round led by Superscrypt. The innovative startup provides developers with the ability to tap into and employ cross-chain data via natural language requests supported by artificial intelligence (AI). This technology is fast becoming a popular, yet contentious, trend in the world of cryptocurrency. "Airstack has been constructed to directly tackle the problems developers have been facing, which we've understood through comprehensive interviews conducted over the past year," stated Jason Goldberg, CEO of Airstack, during a CoinDesk interview. Having been launched in April, Airstack has managed to attract over 200 developers thus far. These individuals have utilized the platform for a diverse range of projects, including marketing systems, decentralized finance (DeFi) portfolio optimizers, customer resource management tools, advertising platforms, and decentralized social and messaging applications.

Airstack offers developers the ability to query, merge, and integrate data from on-chain or off-chain, cross-chain, and cross-application sources using a single query and response. For example, a natural language query related to Polygon blockchain's native MATIC token might look like this: "Find all holders of the MATIC token with a minimum balance of 10,000 MATIC, along with their token balances, and their ENS and Lens and Farcaster." The initial funding round was concluded in the third quarter of 2022, with Polygon as one of the investors. Other backers included Hashed Emergent, NGC, Primal Capital, UOB Ventures, and Signum Capital. Alongside the announcement of the funding, Airstack revealed an upgraded version of its Jam social application. Built on Farcaster and Ethereum, the app, available for iOS and Android, includes user profiles and groups that revolve around users' Web3 collectibles. At present, Airstack offers its services free of charge. However, the company plans to introduce a pricing structure in the future. Goldberg shared his strategy, saying, "Our main goal right now is to get thousands of developers to use Airstack in the coming months. We will identify the areas where our services bring the most benefit and where real business use cases arise before we finalize our pricing model."
